Kome smeta srpski heroj?

The truth of SrbrenicaI have seen some arguments from people, which are muslims and I couldn't believe it at all.
Everybody in the world, who knows a little bit of the history of the Serbs and the history of the Balkan-territory, knows the truth about this war!
It´s unbelievable and impossible that the Serbs had killed so many people.
Some people, who are killed in Srebrenica, live today in Germany,
Switzerland and so on...
For e.
g.
they are voting in elections in Bosnia!
How does it comes? They aren´t killed!! Nobody is talking about the Serbs who were killed!!!
It´s a shame, because the history repeats!!
For example, nobody cares about the mass-graves in north-east Bosnia, near a town called Derventa, near Croatian border! And why? There are just Serbs in it! For better understanding, the war is 1995 over!
If the bodys would be exhumed one day, the officials will say that this bodies are belonging to Bosnian-muslims or Croats...
Everbody is speaking about the exodus of German people in 1945, but nobody about the exodus of Serbs from Krajina in 1995!!
I´ve seen it!
I´ve seen the truth in Bosnia several times.
Everybody is fighting against Taliban and terrorism, but nobody care about it, that Taliban fighter are living in Bosnia and got Bosnian citizenship...

"Systematic genocide" of the Muslim population in Bosnia featured prominently in the trial of Radovan Karadzich and Ratko Mladich at the War Crimes Tribunal in Hague.
No material support for these accusations is available, albeit Americans and Islamic countries had invested tremendous amounts of money in it.
In order to show genocide perpetrated by the Bosnian Serbs, they (the media) thoroughly searched for material that would astonish politically illiterate West.
Nothing could fulfill this purpose better than flashing the world with a few "death camps", where, with the unselfish assistance of the media, the whole scenario would be portrayed as a Nazi-style Holocaust in Bosnia.
Basically, all needed for the ITN's dream to come true was a couple of meters of barbed wire and a living skeleton behind it.
The next stop was Trnopolje.
The camera equipment was set inside a small barbed wire enclosure.
The barbed wire was old, falling apart in places.
It surrounded a storage shed, a wheelbarrow and other construction equipment.
Then a tall, emaciated man was spotted.
On the fifth of the August 1992, as the end of their trip approached, an award-winning British television team, led by Penny Marshall (ITN) and the reporter Ed Vulliamy from the Guardian newspaper had been unable to find the camps story they were after.
Their final stop was to be the refugee camp at Trnopolje.
This was to be their last chance to get the story which their editors wanted, since the story about the Omarska "concentration camp" was made up.
Penny Marshall came on the behalf of ITN, while she did a great job for the US State Department.
The British news team spotted a tall, emaciated man, Fikret Alich Stripped down to his waist, with his ribs popping out, it seemed as if God himself sent him.
The emancipated man's appearance resulted from having had Tuberculosis as a child.
He was surrounded by a bigger group of healthy looking (well fed) Muslims.
Marshall finally got what she was aiming at, a living skeleton in addition to the barbed wire fence.
The scenes shot here managed to get by, fooling the world, and turning president Clinton against the Serbs.
Those who performed the dirty job (the journalists), were about to get rewarded.
The team arrived to Omarska and Trnopolje, which was deliberately requested by Radovan Karadzich.
Since the US State Department had spread worldwide rumours about the concentration camps controlled by the Serbs, Karadzich naively thought that this would beat the lies, by introducing the truth to Penny Marshal and to the World.
Unfortunately, he wasn't suspecting that these people never came to see the truth, let alone to reveal it publicly.
When Marshall, Williams and Vulliamy arrived in Bosnia at the end of July 1992, they were under intense pressure to get the story of the camps.
Roy Gutman's article about the 'death camp' Omarska, published while the British team were in Bosnia, had further raised expectations in the London editorial offices.
After her return Penny Marshall told how she and Williams had received orders from the managing editors of ITN and Channel 4 to do nothing else before they had the camps story in the bag: 'They had set Ian Williams and myself loose with an open-ended brief to find and visit the detention camps, and with orders to file nothing until we had come up with the story.
' (Sunday Times, August 16, 1992).
Radovan Karadzich was to be accused of was crimes and genocide.
Famous Trnopolje events were to serve as one of the major accusations of the War Crimes Tribunal in Hague against Karadzich.
He invited Marshall over to Trnopolje (to talk to eyewitnesses, so he can clear his name).
Marshall now wasn't allowed to say a word on this.

The real story behind Srebrenica (1)The Globe and Mail (Canada), July 14, 2005
By LEWIS MacKENZIE
This week marked the 10th anniversary of the United Nations' second greatest failure since its creation in 1945 -- the genocide in Rwanda being the undisputed No.
1.
With much fanfare, the ceremonies focused on the massacre of "up to" 8, 000 Bosnian men and boys by General Ratko Mladic's Bosnian Serb army in Srebrenica in July of 1995.
In the vast majority of recent media reports, the background and responsibilities for the disaster in Srebrenica were absent.
Preferred was the simple explanation: a black and white event in which the Serbs were solely to blame.
As someone who played a modest role in some of the events preceding the massacre, perhaps a little background will provide some context.
In early 1993, after my release from the Canadian Forces, I was asked to appear before a number of U.
S.
congressional committees dealing with Bosnia.
A few months earlier, my successor in the UN Protection Force, General Philippe Morillon, had --against the advice of his UN masters -- bullied his way into Srebrenica accompanied by a tiny contingent of Canadian soldiers and told its citizens they were now under the protection of the UN.
The folks at the UN in New York were furious with Gen.
Morillon but, with the media on his side, they were forced to introduce the "safe haven" concept for six areas of Bosnia, including Srebrenica.
Wondering what this concept would mean, one U.
S.
senator asked me how many troops it would take to defend the safe havens.
"Somewhere in the neighbourhood of 135, 000 troops, " I replied.
It had to be that large because of the Serb artillery's range.
The new UN commander on the ground in Bosnia, Belgian General Francis Briquemont, said he agreed with my assessment but was prepared to try to defend the areas with 65, 000 additional troops.
The secretary-general of the day, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, went to the Security Council and recommended 27, 500 additional troops.
The Security Council approved a force of 12, 000 and, six months later, fewer than 2, 000 additional soldiers had been added to UNPROFOR for the safe-haven tasks.

The real story behind Srebrenica (2)part 2
Then the Security Council changed the wording of the safe-haven resolution from "the UN will defend the safe havens" to "by their presence will the UN deter attacks on the safe havens.
" In other words, a tiny, token, lightly armed UN contingent would be placed as sacrificial lambs in Srebrenica to "deter" the Bosnian Serb army.
It didn't take long for the Bosnian Muslims to realize that the UN was in no position to live up to its promise to "protect" Srebrenica.
With some help from outsiders, they began to infiltrate thousands of fighters and weapons into the safe haven.
As the Bosnian Muslim fighters became better equipped and trained, they started to venture outside Srebrenica, burning Serb villages and killing their occupants before quickly withdrawing to the security provided by the UN's safe haven.
These attacks reached a crescendo in 1994 and carried on into early 1995 after the Canadian infantry company that had been there for a year was replaced by a larger Dutch contingent.
The Bosnian Serbs might have had the heaviest weapons, but the Bosnian Muslims matched them in infantry skills that were much in demand in the rugged terrain around Srebrenica.
As the snow cleared in the spring of 1995, it became obvious to Nasar Oric, the man who led the Bosnian Muslim fighters, that the Bosnian Serb army was going to attack Srebrenica to stop him from attacking Serb villages.
So he and a large number of his fighters slipped out of town.
Srebrenica was left undefended with the strategic thought that, if the Serbs attacked an undefended town, surely that would cause NATO and the UN to agree that NATO air strikes against the Serbs were justified.
And so the Bosnian Serb army strolled into Srebrenica without opposition.
What happened next is only debatable in scale.
The Bosnian Muslim men and older boys were singled out and the elderly, women and children were moved out or pushed in the direction of Tuzla and safety.
It's a distasteful point, but it has to be said that, if you're committing genocide, you don't let the women go since they are key to perpetuating the very group you are trying to eliminate.
Many of the men and boys were executed and buried in mass graves.
Evidence given at The Hague war crimes tribunal casts serious doubt on the figure of "up to" 8, 000 Bosnian Muslims massacred.
That figure includes "up to" 5, 000 who have been classified as missing.
More than 2, 000 bodies have been recovered in and around Srebrenica, and they include victims of the three years of intense fighting in the area.
The math just doesn't support the scale of 8, 000 killed.
Nasar Oric, the Bosnian Muslim military leader in Srebrenica, is currently on trial in The Hague for war crimes committed during his "defence" of the town.
Evidence to date suggests that he was responsible for killing as many Serb civilians outside Srebrenica as the Bosnian Serb army was for massacring Bosnian Muslims inside the town.
Two wrongs never made a right, but those moments in history that shame us all because of our indifference should not be viewed in isolation without the context that created them.
Retired major-general Lewis MacKenzie was the first commander of UN peacekeeping forces in Sarajevo.

The Serbs Are Victims of Propaganda The Serbs are not angels, but neither are they devils.
They are also the victims of a massive anti-Serbian propaganda campaign.
Starting with the civil wars, Serbs have been blamed for things they never did, while atrocities by Croats and Muslims were ignored.
What the Serbs were and are up against are powerful American public relations firms, Western intelligence agencies and biased or incompetent Western reporters.
Maybe you recall a famous picture of an emaciated man standing behind a barbed-wire fence.
This was reported as a Muslim being starved in a Serb concentration camp.
In fact, the man was a Serb who had been arrested by the Serbs for looting, and he was not emaciated from lack of food but from suffering with advanced tuberculosis.
Yohanan Ramati, director of the Jerusalem Institute for Western Defense, wrote of the campaign against the Serbs: "This organized anti-Serb and pro-Muslim propaganda should cause anyone believing in democracy and free speech serious concern.
It recalls Hitler's propaganda against the Allies in World War II.
Facts are twisted and, when inconvenient, disregarded.
The selectivity in reporting and comment is far too blatant to be accidental.
"
Ramati quotes from an interview given on French Two television by James Harff of Finn & Rudder, the public relations firm representing the Muslims.
He boasts that the firm's greatest achievement was to get American Jews on the side of Muslims by peddling the concentration camp story published by a New York newspaper.
This business of death camps, by the way, was later proven to be a hoax.
But here is a good lesson in how the real world works behind the scenes.
Finn & Rudder didn't commit the hoax.
It simply took the published story to three major Jewish organizations with a suggestion that they run ads condemning it.
The PR guy says that once the Jewish organizations came in on the side of the Muslims, it was easy to equate the Serbs with the Nazis.
Some of the hoaxes perpetrated on Americans include the so-called bread line massacre, the alleged destruction of Dubrovnik, a funeral shown on television of a girl said to be a Muslim victim who was instead a Serb child killed by the Muslims, and, of course, the mass rape hoax, which has cropped up again in Kosovo.
Original allegations in the past of 60, 000 rapes boiled down, after a UN investigation, to 126 alleged victims.
Certainly in civil wars women will get rped, but the mass, organized rape story was a pure hoax.
This kind of stuff is still going on because the NATO campaign against Yugoslavia rests on a foundation of lies.
I've seen claims by Western journalists that "thousands of refugees have all told the same story.
" Use common sense.
Do you really think the handful of Western journalists over there have questioned thousands of people? If so, why do they keep using the same video of the same people so often?
And how many of these Western journalists speak Albanian or Serbo-Croatian? My guess is none.
That means they have to rely on translators who are probably being furnished by the Kosovo Liberation Army.
The refugee can be saying one thing and the translator another, and the reporter will be none the wiser.
That happened in Vietnam, where translators sometimes turned out to be Vietcong intelligence agents.
Just remember: NATO is breaking international law, and the United States has no business being involved in the internal affairs of Yugloslavia.
One day, we may elect a government that won't lie to us so much.
